One of the services relocated to the new and improved Josephine Oltmann Outpatient Services Center at Community Hospital of Staunton, is Senior Life Solutions. Older adults have unique mental health care needs, and Senior Life Solutions has the services to help!
Good mental health contributes greatly to an overall feeling of well-being. And when left untreated, mental health disorders in older adults can lead to diminished functioning, poor quality of life, and increased mortality. Research shows mental illness can even slow healing from physical illnesses.
Sometimes a helping hand is all you need to get your life back on track. The proper guidance and regular attention of experienced professionals can lead to improved lifestyle as well as better overall health.
Senior Life Solutions can help seniors cope with:
- Depressed mood
- Unresolved grief
- Anxiety, nervousness
- Worry
- Isolation or loneliness
- Difficulty coping with health/physical changes
- Difficulty concentrating
- Sleep or appetite changes

Senior Life Solutions is confidential and provides group, individual and family therapy as well as medication management for behavioral health diagnosis. A noon meal is provided during the treatment day (2-4 days per week) lasting 6 – 12 weeks. Senior Life Solutions does not require a physician order, but they will coordinate the patient’s care with the individuals primary care physician.
The Senior Life Solutions treatment team is multi-disciplinary in design to ensure the best quality patient care possible for those who trust us with their behavioral health needs. Along with the patient, family members, and the family doctor, the team includes:

- Nurse Manager
- Primary Therapist
- Clerk
